Bio-Bot 2019
an Anatomical
“Collage”
of the Human Body
Objective:
Your group is to make a “BioBot” that "best"
resembles the structures and the functions of the organs and structures found
in a human body.
Procedure:
- "Brainstorm" the "best" analogies for
the organs and/or structures (see list) found in a human body
- Structure over function; however, try to accommodate both
- Non-perishable items only
- Focus on non-costly, junk, and useless items found around
the home
- Decide who will bring materials that you'll need among the
people in your group and write it down so everyone knows who will bring
what.
- Don’t forget items and tools to build the “BioBot”
- Have a back-up plan (i.e. phone tree/duplicate assignment
responsibilities)
- Develop a KEY that will include:
o
The “organs and/or structures” and the “item and/or analogy” that
you used
o
Names of the people in your group and period
- Build your BioBot as soon as you begin gathering your
materials
o
Keep your area clean and organized
o
Be imaginative yet anatomically correct
